‘Distance’ – another song off the album – is out!
This song was born right after the pandemic. During those months I felt like I was looking at all the things that were part of my days only from a close and limited distance (the phone in my hands, the wall, the buildings around) and I realized that it had become completely impossible for me to imagine and visualize anything when I had my eyes closed. This feeling lasted for a while so it also became a song. I guess that after all music is one of the few things that helps me cut all the noise and makes me feel “like going away”.
Maybe because I am a runner, I have a particular relationship with the concept of distance intended also as something to reach, something to look forward to, something to be surprised by.
On the cover of this track there’s a photo of a plastic bag “kit” containing some colored stones. It’s a kit for skipping stones and a reminder that sometimes you need a certain distance to appreciate things, to see how far they will go and see how many skips they will make.
