I’d known Ayse‘s work for years through Savages, and then we met in Bologna, where I opened for her band Kite Base.
I remember we checked out each other’s pedalboards, talked about fuzz pedals <3 and immediately connected.
Sometime later we were in touch again and she told me she was working on an album – “we should try and do a song together…” – and sent me Accelerator. I loved it instantly, and had the chance to add some guitars and backing vocals.
So happy this record is finally out in the world, alongside beautiful contributions from Jessy Lanza, Sharon Van Etten, Laura-Mary Carter, Lee Tesche
